SEIA’s Consumer Guide to Solar Power a helpful tool for customers
Solar energy continues its ascent into mainstream consciousness as a clean, renewable source of power for residential U.S. customers. According to the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), the solar energy industry employs 250,000 Americans, an indication of the growth happening across the nation. SEIA also reports that the amount of solar already installed in the U.S. is enough to power 10.7 million homes.
Still, it’s fair to say that many areas of the country are still in the early-adoption phase of installing residential solar energy systems, meaning that education on this topic is important to help consumers make the best decisions for their money and home. SEIA is doing its part to make sure that happens by releasing a “Residential Consumer Guide to Solar Power,” giving consumers an overview of the things they should understand and consider when going solar.
The guide covers how solar electricity is generated, the factors that tie into how much power your system produces, the key questions you should ask during the process and much more. The key questions section is quite detailed, as it covers 31 topics. While solar electricity is free, buying the system that produces that energy is not.
SOLAR EDUCATION: Power Home teaches the ABCs of going solar
Power Home Solar would love to be the company you trust to install your solar panel system. In July, we were ranked No. 12 nationally among residential rooftop contractors by Solar Power World, and in 2017, we were named to the Inc. 500’s fastest-growing private companies, coming in at No. 96. We’ve also built a partnership with the NFL’s Detroit Lions and are teaming with the Lifetime television show Military Makeover to outfit one military family with a solar energy system.
With our innovative solar program, homeowners can go solar for $0 up-front cost, save money on their electric bills, and generate their own clean energy. The solar panels installed on your home are American made and come with a 25-year warranty, with many panels expected to last well beyond that.
Please feel free to contact Power Home Solar at 800-765-2715 and one of our solar representatives will help you determine whether your home qualifies for this program. Don’t rent your power, own your power!
