POWERHOME SOLAR is well known for its commercials, whether it be with our multitude of sports partners or with the Detroit Youth Choir, whose vocals have provided the soundtrack of our memorable “Let The Sunshine In” campaign.
Our next great commercial comes from the opportunity to partner with former Detroit Lions star and Pro Football Hall of Fame running back Barry Sanders. That partnership brought us Sunday to Bloomfield Hills High School in suburban Detroit, where we put Sanders through a multitude of football-related activities that will provide the imagery we’ll use in further broadcasting the value of installing solar energy at homes and businesses.
While Sanders has been retired from football for over 20 years, he showed some of his signature suddenness and agility that helped him elude thousands of would-be tacklers over a 10-year career. Considering Sanders has done some of his best work in his life on Sundays, we’re not surprised that he excelled on our field of play amid temperatures in the low 90s. But Sanders is also someone of great humbleness, and he showcased that side of him in this video after the shoot was complete.
For POWERHOME SOLAR CEO Jayson Waller, it was a dream to work with Sanders. As a die-hard Lions fan, Waller grew up idolizing Sanders. And as Waller says in the video, POWERHOME SOLAR aspires to the level of greatness Sanders displayed throughout his career. We aim to be the best solar company in the U.S. POWERHOME SOLAR remains on a remarkable growth trajectory (we recently were named the No. 7 residential installer in the U.S. by Solar Power World), and we’re hoping Sanders’ credibility helps open the eyes of others who may be interested in a solar-powered future.
“Barry is a class act obviously, he’s the GOAT (greatest of all-time), best running back on the planet out here doing the commercial with POWERHOME, representing letting the sunshine in, and representing making sure we allow that sun and that energy to power your future,” Waller said. “So, excited to partner with him on this commercial and trying to change not only the lives of Michiganders, but all those folks out there in all of our states trying to own their power, not rent it.”
