CHARLOTTE, N.C. — As 2020 comes to a close, POWERHOME SOLAR is adding another accolade to its list of many. POWERHOME SOLAR is ranked No. 3 on the Charlotte Business Journal’s Fast 50 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the Charlotte region. The rankings are based on a formula factoring dollar and percentage growth over the past three years. This is the second consecutive year POWERHOME SOLAR has been featured, previously being named No. 5 on the 2019 list.
When it comes to growth, 2020 has been a year to remember. Since January, POWERHOME SOLAR has doubled from 756 employees to over 1,700, added Tennessee to a footprint that now includes 10 states, and is well on its way to eclipsing its 2019 revenue total of $186 million.
POWERHOME SOLAR’s explosive growth was recognized on Thursday as a part of the Charlotte Business Journal’s virtual award ceremony.
“I think culture is the most important element in the business right now,” said POWERHOME SOLAR CEO Jayson Waller. “I didn’t finish college. I am learning every day. I have a great executive team around me that makes me better, I yearn to learn and I share that with my employees. We empower them, we do leadership training with all the directors and managers. We want all of our employees to feel like owners. To feel that entrepreneur mindset so they are building something great. And with that, we show a career path for employees to be motivated.”
