POWERHOME Solar sponsoring coverage of Detroit’s annual tree lighting ceremony
With the holiday season just around the corner, so too is Detroit’s annual tree lighting event, which will take place this Friday at Campus Martius Park from 5 p.m. to midnight, and will be broadcast on WXYZ (ABC 7) and the station’s Facebook page from 7-8 p.m. POWERHOME Solar is a proud sponsor of the station’s coverage of the event put on by the Downtown Detroit Partnership, the DTE Energy Foundation and the DTE Beacon Park Foundation.
Per WXYZ, this year’s tree is a “Michigan-grown, 60-foot Norwegian Spruce that will be decked out with more than 19,000 multicolored lights and ornaments.” You’ll also see musical performances from 12-time Grammy Award winner and Detroit native CeCe Winans, Ben Sharkey and the Woodward Horns.
U.S. Olympic ice dancing bronze medalists Maia and Alex Shibutani will perform on the Campus Martius rink, and ice skating is open to the public at 9 p.m.
More than 40,000 are expected for this event. So yeah, who needs to go to Rockefeller Plaza in New York when you can experience the same thing in Detroit?
While those in downtown Detroit will be lighting up the night, POWERHOME Solar wants to help you power your home with electricity generated by solar panels. POWERHOME Solar is the official solar partner of four NFL teams, including the Detroit Lions. With Michigan’s residential electricity rates among the highest in the nation, the state’s homeowners can save tens of thousands of dollars over the lifespan of their system by switching to solar.
With our innovative solar program, homeowners can go solar for $0 up-front cost, save money on their electric bills, and generate their own clean energy. The solar panels installed on your home are American-made and come with a 25-year warranty, with many panels expected to last well beyond that.
Please feel free to fill out the form below or contact POWERHOME Solar at 800-765-2715, and one of our solar representatives will help you determine whether your home qualifies for this program.
