POWERHOME Solar is making room for another renewable energy honor on its company mantel. On Wednesday night, the rapidly-growing solar and roofing company was honored as Michigan’s Emerging Business of the Year by the Michigan Energy Innovation Business Council (EIBC).

After launching in North Carolina in 2015 with just 15 employees, POWERHOME has now grown to over 600 employees across the company’s five-state coverage area, which includes Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia. In July, POWERHOME was ranked No. 12 among residential solar installers in the U.S. by Solar Power World, and in 2017, the company was ranked No. 96 on Inc. 500’s list of the fastest-growing private companies in America. Since its inception, POWERHOME has installed over 50 megawatts of solar systems. Revenue is projected to exceed $100 million for the first time in 2018, and the company continues its rapid growth trajectory.

“We are truly ‘Building A Movement’ one customer at a time,” POWERHOME CEO Jayson Waller said. “Trying to make this world a better place.”

Since entering Michigan in 2017, POWERHOME has made the state its largest market. With the average residential electricity rate in Michigan being the 11th highest in the nation, POWERHOME provides affordable solar solutions that help the average Michigan homeowner save tens of thousands of dollars over the lifespan of his/her solar system.

POWERHOME also developed a partnership with pro football’s Detroit Lions earlier this year, as the company installed solar panels on the parking deck at Ford Field and at the team’s training facility in Allen Park, not to mention sharing the value of going solar with the team’s fans throughout the 2018 season. The company also has developed partnerships with three other pro football teams, including the Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers.

POWERHOME is a proud supporter of the military through its work with former Detroit Tigers star Justin Verlander and wife Kate Upton’s Patriot Ruck, a military-themed walk through downtown Detroit that acknowledges the sacrifices of current military members, veterans and first responders. The company teamed up over the summer with the Lifetime TV miniseries “Military Makeover” to provide a home solar system to the family of one wounded veteran in suburban Kansas City, Mo.

POWERHOME is also a champion for the community. Most recently in the Detroit area, POWERHOME organized an event to fill an 18-wheeler with relief supplies to help victims of Hurricane Florence and delivered them to Wilmington, N.C., one of the cities affected most by the storm.

In delivering clean energy solutions to its customers, raising awareness for necessary causes and taking action in our community, POWERHOME has been at the forefront of expanding the use of advanced energy in Michigan.

And if you are a homeowner interested in going solar in our five-state coverage area, we want to hear from you.

With our innovative solar program, homeowners can go solar for $0 up-front cost, save money on their electric bills, and generate their own clean energy. The solar panels installed on your home are American-made and come with a 25-year warranty, with many panels expected to last well beyond that.

Please feel free to fill out the form below or contact POWERHOME Solar at 800-765-2715, and one of our solar representatives will help you determine whether your home qualifies for this program.
