POWERHOME Solar CEO Jayson Waller teased us in December in saying that the company was positioning to enter several new markets in 2019. The company is primed to have the first of those in Indiana, as POWERHOME announced this week expansion of its operations into the Hoosier State. Indiana will join Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Virginia as service territories for the company.
POWERHOME, one of the fastest growing American companies to specialize in solar energy and roofing services, anticipates a need for 80-100 new employees in the areas of sales, installation and administrative functions for its Indianapolis-based office.
What is POWERHOME Solar?
POWERHOME designs, permits, finances, sells, installs, maintains and monitors solar energy systems and panels for residential and commercial applications. The company works with homeowners and business owners to create custom rooftop or ground-mounted solar systems that generate renewable energy, lower electric bills and reduce carbon footprints.
With net metering still available in the state until July 2032, Indiana residents who go solar can benefit from being credited on their power bills at the retail rate for excess energy produced by their solar systems. Being able to sell that excess energy back to the grid is a huge plus for consumers, who will benefit from all the energy their solar panels produce, whether their home uses it or not.
“An electric bill is one of the largest expenses for a homeowner,” POWERHOME Solar CEO Jayson Waller said. “A mortgage has an end date, a utility bill does not. By financing and installing solar panels, a consumer pays roughly the same amount as the utility bill, but once the bill stops, that energy is completely free. Consumers then ‘own’ their power versus ‘renting’ it.”
Indiana customers also may benefit from POWERHOME’s premium solar storage battery option, which will provide power to critical home loads that a homeowner wishes to continue energizing in the event of an outage. That battery backup switches on without intervention when an outage is detected, meaning that items such as your refrigerator, home office and sump pump will continue getting the power it needs during blackouts.
How can I join the POWERHOME Solar team, or how can I go solar?
But the best part of our news is the opportunity to bring more jobs to Indiana. POWERHOME’s office will be based in Indianapolis at 4496 Saguaro Trail in northwestern Indianapolis. Interviews for sales consultations will be held at that location next Tuesday-Thursday, March 19-21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
If you’re looking for a new opportunity to join an industry that is growing, look no further than POWERHOME. Our company is continuously changing the lives of our customers and even our own employees. We have a lot of pride in what we do and who we do it for. We use American-made products, and our solar panels have a 30-year warranty, which is five years longer than the industry standard. Stop by our office next week in Indianapolis!
