RALEIGH, N.C. — Although the 2020 college football season is now behind us, there’s still plenty to look forward to for the NC State Wolfpack. POWERHOME SOLAR has installed solar panels at Carter-Finley Stadium atop the Wendell H. Murphy Football Center! The addition of solar panels provides the facility with renewable, clean energy which helps potentially lower energy costs and aids in reducing the facility’s carbon footprint.
POWERHOME SOLAR, headquartered in Mooresville, N.C., is one of the nation’s leading residential providers of solar energy. The company has partnerships with five pro football franchises and one pro baseball team, but its partnership with the Wolfpack is the company’s first with an academic institution.
POWERHOME SOLAR’s installation team completed work on the project on Friday.
“We appreciate the opportunity to support NC State in its ongoing sustainability initiatives, and we are honored that university leadership trusted us to add solar at Carter-Finley Stadium,” said POWERHOME SOLAR CEO Jayson Waller.
