With POWERHOME Solar CEO Jayson Waller recently being recognized as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Southeast finalist and as one of five Champions of the New Economy by DBusiness Magazine, it’s only fitting then, that another POWERHOME C-suite executive be recognized for standout performance.
POWERHOME Chief Financial Officer Juan Ramirez has been named a CFO of the Year finalist by the Charlotte Business Journal. Ramirez has more than 30 years of progressive financial experience as an auditor, controller and CFO and is responsible for managing the company’s complete financial actions in addition to economic strategy and forecasting. Under Ramirez, POWERHOME Solar crossed the $100 million threshold in revenue for the first time in 2018.
“I am so happy and honored, regardless of winning, to be a finalist with some of the best CFOs in the business. It is a true blessing,” Ramirez said.
Juan Ramirez’s credentials
Ramirez is a consummate professional and integral piece to the POWERHOME Solar executive team. He is an enthusiastic, yet humble hands-on leader who regularly challenges and inspires his team to exceed revenue and profitability targets, all while serving as a mentor to junior colleagues.
He provides effective partnerships between the sales and operations teams. He has effectively managed financial responsibilities associated with start-up joint ventures and steady state operations. Ramirez also speaks, reads and writes in English and Spanish and has a working knowledge of Portuguese. Those are invaluable skills in today’s market.
Prior to POWERHOME Solar, Ramirez was Regional Director/Partner at The CFO Center Limited, Chief Financial Officer of National Financial Holdings, and Vice President of Finance CFO and Controller, Latin America and Canada, for First Data Corporation.
Winners will be announced in the coming days, and POWERHOME is fully behind Ramirez’s candidacy. Win, lose or draw, Ramirez and the other finalists will be honored at an awards banquet July 18 in Charlotte, North Carolina, just down the road from POWERHOME’s headquarters in Mooresville, North Carolina. Good luck Juan!
