How does Power Home Solar work with my HOA?
Going solar can be a pretty easy process with the help of Power Home Solar, but there are still a lot of boxes that need to be checked before that power switch is officially turned on.
One of those boxes includes getting permission to install from your homeowners association, at least if your neighborhood’s rules are governed by an HOA.
You may not immediately know if your HOA allows solar panel installations, but that’s no problem. Power Home will work with your HOA to determine your eligibility. It is part of the process where we put in the behind-the-scenes work so you don’t have to.
There are cases when HOAs require that application materials be submitted by the homeowner. In that event, Power Home will still provide customers support to get through the process as quickly as possible.
Once all the necessary application materials are submitted, HOAs have up to 30 days to make a decision, and Power Home routinely follows up with HOAs in case decisions are made ahead of that time frame. Panel installations can only be scheduled with an HOA’s signed approval letter in our possession.
SOLAR EDUCATION: Power Home teaches the ABCs of going solar
Should HOAs deny a homeowner from getting panels that can be seen from the front of a home, we’ll work with customers to evaluate placing panels on other parts of the roof. If there is no feasible option, the process unfortunately stops. Or if your HOA denies you from getting panels altogether, the process stops there, too.
Hopefully, your solar project won’t be met with HOA obstructions and that HOAs see the value in homeowners providing clean, renewable energy for themselves. If that’s the case, your installation can be scheduled, and you’re one sizable step closer to some level of energy independence.
Speaking to Power Home’s depth of service, it is one of the few American companies who uses American-made products and designs, permits, finances, sells, installs, maintains and monitors solar energy systems and panels for residential, commercial, utility, and government applications 100 percent in-house, to best manage quality assurance and customer satisfaction.
With our innovative solar program, homeowners in our five-state coverage area can go solar for $0 up-front cost, save money on their electric bills, and generate their own clean energy. The solar panels installed on your home come with a 25-year warranty, with many panels expected to last well beyond that.
