Q1: What is overcurrent protection in boost buck converter?

When the output current is greater than the set value, the output voltage value decreases gradually until no voltage is output. (When the starting load is too large, it will start the overcurrent protection and no output voltage. Common inductive loads, such as motors, pumps, etc.)

Q2: Explanation of over-temperature protection in buck and boost converter
