Solid Upgrade from My Old PWM – Huge Difference in Low Light
Been running this MPPT controller for about a month now on my off-grid shed setup. Swapped out a basic PWM unit that came with my starter kit, and honestly the difference is night and day. The biggest thing I noticed is how much better it performs when the sun isn't perfect – cloudy mornings and late afternoons actually put useful power into my batteries now instead of just doing nothing. The screen is actually useful too; it shows you the daily generation history and even has a fault log. I love that it works with pretty much any battery type – running lithiums right now, but set it up for lead-acid in minutes. The build feels solid, the terminals are nice and beefy, and it's been dead silent. For a medium-sized system like mine, this was money well spent. Way better than my old controller in every way.
