Courtesy of our viral commercial, the public at large learned of POWERHOME SOLAR’s partnership with the Cleveland Browns. Now comes the cool part of the partnership — installing solar panels at FirstEnergy Stadium.
POWERHOME completed the installation this week, making the project the second the company has completed for a pro football franchise after installing panels at Detroit Lions team headquarters in Allen Park, Michigan, along with on the parking garage at Ford Field.
“We are so proud to be partnering with the Cleveland Browns on this green initiative,“ POWERHOME SOLAR & Roofing co-founder Jayson Waller said. “Together, we’ll be building a movement that will not only help the organization address sustainability and environmental challenges for future generations of Browns players and fans, it will encourage today’s fans to think about ways they can go green for the greater good of Cleveland and our planet.”
The installation generated attention this week from the ABC News 5 in Cleveland, and helps dispel the myth that solar is not viable in northeast Ohio.
“We’re gonna be able to still produce electricity through the UV rays that are coming through the sky,” POWERHOME National Training Manager Kenny Klinger said. “The sun is still there, we can’t really see it, but it is still there bringing sunshine down to the panels.”
POWERHOME also has formed partnerships with two other pro football franchises in the Carolina Panthers and Pittsburgh Steelers.
With our innovative solar program, homeowners in our five state coverage area (Ohio, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia) can go solar for $0 up-front cost, save money on their electric bills, and generate their own clean energy. The solar panels installed on your home are American-made and come with a 25-year warranty, with many panels expected to last well beyond that.
