When installing solar panels on your roof, you might wonder how all the wires for those panels connect together, and whether you’ll see any electrical conduit running across the roof when looking at your array from ground level. Chances are you won’t, as Power Home Solar has the answer to keep you from seeing anything but your panels.
Power Home connects the wiring for all of your panels through a metal piece of hardware called a SolaDeck, which serves as a bundling point for the wiring and provides the gateway to run that wiring through your attic or crawl space and then to your inverter panel mounted on the side of your home. The SolaDeck is installed underneath your panels and flashed underneath your shingles to prevent leaks.
Power Home Solar installation crew leader Kyle Elmiger does an excellent job in showcasing the SolaDeck in one of Power Home’s instructive YouTube videos. Check it out.
And that is how your home can have solar panels on your roof without electrical conduit being seen. However, if your home does not have an attic, you will see electrical conduit run to the side of your roof and down to your inverter. We do that as inconspicuously as possible, with the conduit being secured to your roof and run neatly across the roof until it is sent down the side of your home and into your inverter (the device that converts the direct current electricity from your panels into the alternating current electricity used by your home). Here’s a glimpse of how that looks.
The bottom line is that no matter whether you have an attic space to hide the electrical conduit, Power Home customers are in for a very neatly installed product that you will be proud to own.
With our innovative solar program, homeowners can go solar for $0 up-front cost, save money on their electric bills, and generate their own clean energy. The solar panels installed on your home are American-made and come with a 25-year warranty, with many panels expected to last well beyond that.
