How the Axial-Flow Hydro Turbine Works

This axial-flow hydro turbine generator converts the energy of flowing water into electrical power. As water flows through the turbine housing, it drives the impeller and rotates the generator to produce usable DC electricity.

Working Principle

1. Water Enters the Turbine: Water flows into the turbine through the inlet channel and is guided toward the impeller.
2. Impeller Rotates: The moving water pushes against the curved impeller blades, converting water flow energy into mechanical rotation.
3. Drive Shaft Transfers Power: As the impeller rotates, the connected shaft turns at the same time and transfers mechanical energy to the generator.
