Autotransformer

An autotransformer differs from a conventional two-winding transformer in one fundamental way: rather than using two fully separate primary and secondary windings, it uses a single winding that serves both functions, with part of the winding shared between input and output. This design eliminates one coil, resulting in a smaller, lighter, and more cost-effective unit than an isolation transformer of equivalent capacity, while delivering the same voltage step-up or step-down function through electromagnetic induction.

PowerHome autotransformers are three-phase dry-type units covering capacities from 1 kVA to 100 kVA, primarily configured to step down 380V to 220V or 200V — a conversion widely required across China, Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and other regions where 380V three-phase is the standard industrial distribution voltage. 

Both self-cooling and wind-cooled options are available, along with a choice of copper or aluminium windings, open type or sealed enclosure, and AC 50 Hz / 60 Hz compatibility. High efficiency reaching up to 98% and a competitive direct-sale price make them a practical solution for high-capacity load supply in passenger railway infrastructure, industrial facilities, and commercial buildings where galvanic isolation between primary and secondary is not a requirement.
