    The IP 24-rated enclosure protects solid objects larger than 12.5 mm and water splashing from any direction, making it suitable for outdoor plant rooms, rooftop electrical installations, and covered outdoor switchgear enclosures. The dry-type, air self-cooling construction eliminates the risk of oil leaks that would pose an environmental concern in outdoor settings. For fully exposed outdoor locations subject to heavy rain or immersion risk, a higher IP-rated external enclosure would additionally be recommended, but for the majority of sheltered outdoor industrial installations, the standard IP 24 housing is sufficient.
